Review of Mars Attacks! (1996) by Calan P — 09 May 2013

Mars Attacks! is a very enjoyable film. While it may be too bizarre for some people, it worked out just fine for me. Jack Nicholson as the president is a great role.

The cast over all is good, and pretty humorous. While of course they can do better, they still did a good job. The thing that really makes this movie though is the Martians themselves. They are so funny and the animation used to make them is very creative and imaginative. Critics weren't very favorable to this movie, and in some of the weaker scenes I can see why. The whole dog head replaced with a human head was unnecessary and odd. But, I found a lot more humor in this movie than other people did and thoroughly enjoyed Mars Attacks!
