Review of Marry Me (2022) by Maureenbauer — 07 Mar 2022
I enjoyed this romantic comedy. Marry Me is predictable, but very pleasant; along the same path as Two Weeks Notice, Pretty Woman, and Notting Hill. Jennifer Lopez is stunning and the character she plays is down to earth in a clueless sort of way.
Kay Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) is a very famous pop/rock star who has people who do everything for her, and when she’s getting to know her new husband, Charlie (Owen Wilson), he challenges her to do things for herself.
Charlie a single father/math teacher, who’s just an all around grounded, good person. He just wants to do the right thing and live life with no drama, no social media, and no craziness. He’s predictable, a little boring, and easy to love.
After they get married at her concert, they proceed to get to know each other, learning along the way about life and true love. It’s a feel good movie with good music that will make you feel warm and fuzzy.
Go see it.
