Review of Married Life (2008) by Peter W — 17 Mar 2008
Here's the other piece of shit that I was graced with upon my return to the movies. This is a film that made me ashamed to be a film lover. Honestly, why do we need this shit? Four people with absolutely no redeeming qualities.
Some are worse than others, but all in all, these four jackasses completely deserve each other. I am so so sick of movies about unhappy married life. Movies about people who have it all, people who have what so many others desire, and are just too fucking selfish to accept it and enjoy it.
They always want more. The acting is good, but honestly, what does it serve? I felt so unclean watching this movie, and felt so disgusted with this cast for thinking it would be something I would enjoy.
The film is so appalling and gets worse and worse from there. All leading up to an obscenely cutesy happy ending that literally comes out of nowhere and makes absolutely no sense at all. Yes, I would compare this to the abomination that was last year's Feast of Love.
I hated, hated, hated this movie, and every wholly immoral, selfish character in it. I'll ask again, why do we need this shit?
