Review of Married Life (2008) by Annie S — 19 Mar 2008
Despite a terrific cast, and lovely performance from Patricia Clarkson, "Married Life" never quite finds the right tone and suffers from a poorly written screenplay. The film feels like a bad carbon copy of Todd Haynes' amazing "Far From Heaven," which dealt with similar subject matter with ravishingly beautiful visuals and a deeper feeling of 1950s suburbia.
