Apparently some people find "Married Life" suspenseful. Don't look at me! Very much a mishmash of a hundred better-made period pieces that you can watch for free on PBS. To see a genuinely shocking look at infidelity and 40s morality, check out Neil Jordan's classic "The End of the Affair".
Ira Sachs idea of erotic is very blah, and his idea of frightening is just laughable.
