Interesting dynamics, but that's clearly not enough for a movie to succeed. I'm not into period films, maybe that's why. To be honest, I only watched it for the impressive cast, specially Chris Cooper, who will always be one of my favorite actors ever.
The cast did a pretty good job, but it didn't do it.
