Review of Marriage Story (2019) by Bowman210 — 09 Dec 2019
This will be a short review but I felt like I needed to get a review in for this amazing movie. This movie gave me the feelings of divorce and stubbornness that I have not went through yet in my life but I could see and feel so clearly in the movie.
The characters played by Scarlett and Adam seemed perfect couple at first glance, then you dive into the relationship and see the cracks within. Throughout the movie I felt for Adams's character most of the time, feeling like Scarlett's just wanted to run away from a great family life in NY.
After seeing her point of view and her family situations, I could totally understand why she felt so entrapped and needed to spread her wings and make decisions because she wanted to and wanted to feel in control.
The ending makes it all feel so streamlined and connects back with the start of the film in a good way showing that maybe if she read her letter, all of this could of been fixed. The acting is what makes this movie and I have to say that is some of the best acting Ive seen in the big fight scene between the ex-couple.
Great movie that makes you feel what the characters are feeling throughout the movie without saying it word for word explaining the emotions.
