Review of Marnie (1964) by Brian S — 11 Jun 2008
Hitch made some real hits in his day, but this was not one of them. the storyline was ok--the ending was ALMOST disturbing. unfortunately not even the Master's direction could save the bland writing and mediocre acting, though the editing and cinematography were quite good.
overall a film that can compare to the other great suspense thrillers as the film that "almost made it, but just fell short".
