Review of Marnie (1964) by Hans J. E — 16 Aug 2008
Probably the last really decent film that Hitchcock made but ultimately it's still a bit of a failure. It feels a little too much like Vertigo and ultimately that is never going to be a good comparison.
Hedren proves that she is not one of the great acting talents and the backgrounds are terribly fake. There are is still some interest and it's not one of Hitch's worst, but he had made far far better.
