Review of Marnie (1964) by Irvin C — 20 Mar 2009
I'm not a Hitchcock scholar, but I certainly recognize his masterful skill as a filmmaker, storyteller, and a master of suspense. But what really made this movie for me was Tippi Hedren, specifically her eyes.
Dude, she was absolutely mesmerizing. Her and Sean Connery pull off that awkward connection very well in this film, and their relationship is really the backbone of this movie, and they're the best looking on-screen couple I've seen in a long time.
If I lived in 1964 I'd holla at Tippi Hedren for sure.
