Review of Marnie (1964) by Ankur M — 28 Aug 2012
Strange, odd and perverse, Marnie has a lot of sexual secrets up his sleeve. All the characters in this are pretty despicable, from Marnie, who can't tear away from being a grand larcenist, to Mark Rutland, who blackmails her when he finds out and just piles on the mental cruelty as she begs to leave (but can't).
Marnie also is tortured because of her Deep Dark Secret that is somewhat stupidly revealed in the end of this. While definitely not Hitch's best, it's an interesting later career work.
