Marmaduke is a perfectly fine kids film that is actually aimed at kids. Most of the brats in the showing calmed down fairly quickly and seemed pretty absorbed by it. It's no masterpiece but if you're going to watch one movie with CGI talking animals this summer, make it this one rather than the wretched Cats & Dogs 2.
