Review of Marmaduke (2010) by Pat W — 14 Apr 2011

I can't hate on a movie that has a scene spoofing the "I am a golden God!" scene from "Almost Famous" where a golden retriever at a dog party jumps off the roof of a doghouse into a swimming pool right after exclaiming "I am a golden dog!". If your idea of comedy involves dick jokes then Marmaduke is unfunny. The laughs are slapstick and sweet and you should expect family friendly chuckles.

I tend to have nothing bud disdain for these types of movies but this one is a little better than the rest. The bad reviews come from people expecting deep and though provoking cinema from a cgi dog in California!
