I give it an 8 out of 10 for movies in its class. I was not expecting its relative quality; the movie is well paced, has good dialogue, and is as entertaining as it could be by explaining a simple but important family premise.

Intelligent, kind human beings will appreciate Marley & Me for its strong foundation referencing the concrete "till death" partnership between canines and humans.
