I believe this movie is misunderstood- it is not a romantic comedy. I would also say that it is not suitable for kids under 12. For what it is, Marley and Me is a very touching film about life's trials and tribulations, and the love between a dog and a family, although the expression of that love is often suppressed in front of a dog who is out of control.
Some really amazing acting by Wilson and Aniston for a couple of scenes. I cried- alot, but hey I cry at many movies. Worthwhile if you want to watch a touching story. Also, very moving if you have a dog.
