Attempting to pose as a family film, Frankel's "Marley & Me" falls drastically short of its aspiration due to its all-too-risky content. By the end of it, you might find yourself wondering if this mutt of a film has caused more harm than good for your family.
Still, Owen Wilson's talent is hard to overlook, and that alone keeps this film from being an utter flop.
