Marley and Me has nice imagery, warm ending, great acting and chemistry between Wilson and Aniston and it is faithful to its source material, but it may also be too faithful and its mix of themes - dog story and difficulties with marriage, children and work problems - while one of them very well explored leaves the other one, the dog part, quite lacking in both screen time and substance.
