Review of Marley (2012) by Roger C — 09 May 2012
A brilliant documentary which spans the life of a Jamaican national hero and superstar who embodies the spirit of Rastafarianism and continues to touch people worldwide with his remarkable canon of music. The man had seven female companions and numerous children as a result. He was a very focused and dedicated person who could be tough as his son Ziggy said, but he was loved and respected far and wide.
The film succeeds in telling his story, covering various aspects of his life by interviewing family members, as well as friends, and showing where he used to live. There are also some great live performances which really are out of this world.
