Review of Marked Woman (1937) by Sv G — 21 Apr 2011
A good but not grand melodrama with a young and gritty Bette Davis gives an excellent performance but over-all the story of a clip-joint hostess in a gangster ere with the story supposedly inspired by the life of Lucky Luciano.
If a Davis fan you may want to see this, but though she is wonderful - the movie itself is only fair. There is a young Humprey Bogart as handsome as can be that surprisingly does "not" play a gangster in this one.
