Review of Mark of the Devil (1970) by Ringo E — 15 Jul 2009
Solid medieval witch-hunt drama was clearly made on the cheap, but rises above the usual exploitation fare with a few original twists. A cast of unique character actors - including Herbert Lom, Udo Kier, and Reggie Nalder - turn in spirited performances - even if it does go overboard with the torture and gore.
Not a masterpiece by any means, but entertaining for what it is.
