Interesting concept. Great acting by Tim Robbins. But a film this slow needs to be mesmerizing on some level, and this one didn't quite get there. The music was pretty interesting, but the cinematography was nothing special.
The dialogue was good at times, but stilted and too writerly at others. Occasionally it was thought provoking, but too often it was frankly just boring. I really liked what this film was trying to do, but it just didn't deliver as much as I'd hoped.
