Movie depends a lot on your perspective and what you let them sell you. ie... how did you feel about the fat friend in the movie. probably not as noble and moving a char as the sexy hot piece of ass who was also breaking numerous laws to get into this country.
Was an interesting movie... but not being hispanic it didn't resonate with me. To me it played like idiot girls greedy for material things breaking the law to get what they want. the main character basically lies, and lies and lies, without any real concern for anything, until it's almost too late.
her redeeming act of paying for the funeral seemed a bit weak. and the movie totally glossed over any contemplation of the aspects of the laws she broke or ancillary damage the drugs smuggled into the country may've wrought.
.. ooo.. a pretty mexican dies when her heroin balloons burst inside her... well, maybe if more pretty Mexicans got motel 6 cesserian sections, there'd be less an interest in running drugs.
