Catalina Sandino Moreno put on an amazing performance in this. Movies about drugs aren't anything new, but this film showed me an unfamiliar perspective. Maria is a very relatable character who ends up in a difficult position, and circumstances continue to get progressively worse.
It makes you ask the question 'what would I do in that situation?' I highly recommend watching this.
