Review of Maria Full of Grace (2004) by Amber D — 18 Aug 2010
This was a beautiful story that really makes you sympathize w/ struggling immigrants. When Maria was about to get busted by the flight security, I was yelling at my tv screen"Lie Maria, lie!" It's amazing that a teenage girl would be willing to risk the life of her child for a chance to get to America and make some extra cash.
That just shows that the conditions in places like Columbia, where Maria was from, are nearly unbearable. Which is why we should offer immigrants the chance to become citizens. Even if technically they are illegal.
Obama is in favor of the Dream Act which would give teens who's parents brought them here when they were babies a chance to become U.S citizens.
