Review of Margot at the Wedding (2007) by Alisha A — 04 Oct 2008
I thought this movie was gonna be awesome because of the excellent cast that it has. The truth, the movie is good, but I didn't love it. The plot was kinda pointless and it was soooo slow, that usually doesn't bother me if the plot is good but it was just strange.
The characters though, were really interesting, specially Kidman's. Her character was socially challenged, yet she was smart, but at the same time dysfunctional, and she was raising her son in that same way.
I loved how selfish she was, because that made her real, yet her love for her son made her human. All this little aspects coming from her and from the rest of the characters made the movie richer. Bottom line, I didn't love it, but I definitely enjoyed the weirdness in it, the fantastic cast selecton and the awesome acting from them.
