Review of Margot at the Wedding (2007) by Justin A — 17 Oct 2008
A beautifully shot, sharply written, well acted â??familyâ?? drama. Noah Baumbach is proving to be churning himself into a Woody Allen of this generation. The humor acted out and dialog spoken truly comes from a darker place in the characters lives.
You love the characters, even though no one is good. Everything is very sad, but slightly comical at the same time. Not a traditional funny, but in a true to life way -- the type of jokes you might have with a family member that no one else would find interesting.
But in this case, itâ??s all interesting.
