Review of Margot at the Wedding (2007) by Mel : — 17 Jul 2009

(3 stars out of 5) While watching this film I couldn't help but love the sardonic humor and the convincing cast but at the same time loath the characters who all seem completely off their nuts and only showed any strength and conviction when they tearing each other down.

I know people like Margot, hell at my worst I've been Margot, and it just wasn't all that enjoyable to watch her plant seeds of doubt and put down the people she loved because she's so miserable with her own choices.

I did however totally walk away from this film motivated to be a better person so it wasn't a total wash. Check it out only if you want to see miserable people do miserable things to each other.
