Review of Margin Call (2011) by Lesley C — 24 Mar 2012
A gripping film exploring the human consequences to a financial meltdown. A great cast, including Anthony Irons, Kevin Spacey and Demi Moore, show the full range of emotions and motivations of people caught up in the meltdown, but at different levels in the hierarchy.
Really clever dialogue and performances. I found myself feeling emotions from pity to revulsion for the people. The collapsing of all the themes into the final minutes of the movie is brilliant and one that sends you away from the cinema deep in thought.
