Review of Margin Call (2011) by Stuart P — 29 Apr 2012
The cast is great and the plot rollicks along, but the simplification of the financial aspects was a bit much. I hardly think Jeremy Irons' character, the CEO of the nameless investment bank, who is apparently super-smart, would ask someone to explain him things like he was a "small child, or a golden retriever".
And Paul Bettany's character says the same thing: "I never understand how these numbers work". How did he get employed?
