Review of Margin Call (2011) by Luca B — 22 Dec 2012
Wall street drama trying to describe the day before financial crisis arrived. Right after the wave of downsizing, a young analyst in Market Risk department finishes the work of his boss (who was just laid off) and finds their trading portfolio fair value is much much lower than thought.
The information is spread to all levels of seniority and the big decision is then made. A simplistic depiction of moral hazard and selfish banking attitude, but good acting.
