There's a lot of calm dialog and boring scenes of gray office cubes and boardrooms, but once senses the panic, despair, tension in the scenes. Plus the initial scene was a uncomfortable reminder of something that happened not too long ago.
I would recommend watching the documentary "Inside Job" as complimentary viewing.
