Review of Margin Call (2011) by Kevin C — 25 May 2013
Credit crunch the movie. Relevant, well-acted; and with hints of Glengarry Glen Ross and Boiler Room.
So well-acted indeed you actually empathise with these Wall Street suits. The story is a linked sequence of meetings in skyscraper offices, increasingly tense and laconic in delivery; and pretty devastating in implication to this day. The business language is carefully edited and constructed, so that a non-expert audience can follow developments. The cast do tremendous work, especially Tucci and Spacey.
