Review of Margin Call (2011) by Nicholas H — 10 Jul 2013
Margin Call got a lot of good reviews, but I'm not entirely sure why. It shows a roughly 24 hour period where a bank's scandalous investing comes to a head as the man unofficially investigating it from the inside gets fired.
It's taut at times and it's timely as hell (given it came out in 2011 regarding 2008's crisis). But money, for all the good things it can bring, can also be boring as hell.
