Review of Margin Call (2011) by Alexander W — 09 Mar 2015
The final hours before an investment firm liquidates. Pretty simple story, that does not provide much new insight on the 2008 financial crisis. The film is well directed, and has some good monologue, but, except for Paul Bettany, the actors did not seem to feel all too comfortable with their lines, when in dialogue, I thought.
Some of it felt stilted. It's good to see Jeremy Irons in a fitting role again, though.
