Review of Margin Call (2011) by Buggy B — 11 Jan 2014
A really good movie considering I have no clear idea what it was about. Top notch cast makes this very watchable however. Slow burning story that takes place over a 24hr period at "The Firm" where some kinda bad shit is going down; people are losing their jobs and an investment analyst (Zachary Quinto) has just discovered 'something' that could put the whole company in jeopardy.
This results in all the big bosses showing up and a quick liquidation sale before it all becomes worthless (in Layman's terms). Top notch cast that makes this very watchable. Reminded me of Moneyball because I didn't fully understand what that was about either but still liked it.
Wish I could figure out the significance of the last scene with Sam (Kevin Spacey) burying his dog on his x-wife's lawn, it seemed important 10.13.
