Review of Margin Call (2011) by Anthony C — 19 Feb 2015
Margin Call.
The following is my analysis of the movie.
First off, this film will seem as though it is loaded with a multitude of overly dramatic moments. That is probably because in reality, this is the nature of corporate capitalism. The film itself would not be nearly as good without the masterful acting by all who are in it. I cannot say that there was a single scene where the acting itself could have been executed in a better fashion. In a similar manner, the camera angles, the ambiance, and the landscape all lent a sense of authenticity to this movie as well. Where this film succeeds the most (in my perspective), is in engaging the viewers sentiments surrounding the storyline which is being furnished to them. Without question, the script may leave one feeling a wide array of emotions from anger, sadness, frustration, and indignation all within the time span of the movie itself. As this is the case, I can honestly say that it would be a film worth looking into.
