Review of Margaret (2011) by Lillian Y — 24 Jul 2012
I have a newfound respect for Anna Paquin as an actress after seeing this movie. It was an incredible film with a strong cast, unpredictable twists and yet simple enough to follow.
"True Blood" doesn't do Anna justice. It's a great gig, but in this film, she really flexes her acting chops. She's not that likable. In fact, she's a politically incorrect jerk at times, insensitive to her own mother while obsessed with the reason for her guilt. Every turn in this film kept me engaged so much that I didn't notice the long length of it. If this were a series, I'd tune in weekly. It's that good!
