Review of Margaret (2011) by Aron R — 23 Feb 2013
Its rather indiscriminate fascination with its own little bits and bites - takes something away from the film's power (staying and otherwise). Turning the piece into something of a meandering butterfly.
Not enough so however, to keep it from being quite the thoughtful, rich, solid examination of a rarely noticed phenomenon. The sneaky little ways in which one's frustration with the lack of kindness in this world, can turn into the perfect excuse to leave untapped - the kindness inside ONESELF.
How one's disillusionment at our world's propensity for monsterdom, can make irresistible - one's OWN propensity therefor.
