Review of Margaret (2011) by Helen O — 12 Jun 2013
A strange film, torrid in its depiction of a teenage girl who presents as a borderline histrionic personality. Anna Paquin is quite amazing as this unlikable, disturbing character. The script writing for her excruciatingly emotional outbursts was exceptional.
The film as a whole, is extremely good, but the subject matter is so emotionally draining, it leaves one feeling a little deranged and unsure if you'd recommend it for 'entertainment' value.
