Please dont avoid this documentary thinking that watching penguins is boring. This is a very dramatic and heart-touching film that I truly enjoyed watching. You start to feel how difficult life is for emperor penguins as they try to find mates and have to survive a harsh winter as the females give birth and then the males have to protect their newborn babies through the harshest winters on Earth.
Im glad it won for best documentary.
