Sentient apes dress up as humans and leap around in a shockingly realistic depiction of the North Korean 'mass games' set in 1970's New York. Roy Scheider is deceptively charming, whereas Dustin Hoffman chews his own teeth, to nauseating effect.
Laurence Olivier does a hilarious turn as a comedy Nazi with dental issues. COME ON PAULA RADCLIFFE! (She wins).
