Review of Marathon Man (1976) by Darrell H — 23 Dec 2008
Excellent thriller. It is definitely a product of its time but it hangs in there with the best of them. Hoffman will make you tired as you watch him run. Story goes that, ever the devoted method actor, he showed up on set after a night of not sleeping to get ready for a scene in which his character was up all night without sleeping.
Oliver looks at him and says, "Have you ever tried acting it?" Good movie.
