Quite a good thriller with a unique ending (that I don't think anyone in their right mind would have done... however this particular character suits it! Hoffman is so watchable!!!), however it has a dated feel about it, and many complaints over its' scattered presentation.
The (odd) beginning sets up Dustin Hoffman as a runner with some suspenseful music, where nothing quite happens. Only until half the film is over, do these connections make themselves known... and even still, curious whatever happened to the key the man held? Information that was given that was never resolved, and you wonder why it was ever filmed? Bothersome.
The last half is the most exciting, albeit most of it includes torture and chase scenes. Fritz Weaver plays a creepy German guy who performs some serious dental surgery on Hoffman, so dental-phobes beware! lol.
