Review of Maps to the Stars (2014) by Frances H — 24 May 2015
A film that operates on many levels--a biting satire of the artificiality of the Hollywood lifestyle and it's destructive obsession with self-agandisement on the one hand, and on the other. a Greek tragedy that reminds one of Oedipus--the incest causing the downfall of the whole family.
Then there are the Biblical themes--the sins of the parents visited on the children. Great performance by Julianne Moore.
