Two weeks ago I returned from my first visit to China and a few moments ago I returned from watching Mao's Last Dancer. My eyes are still drying. The film's music and actors like Joan Chen (Niang) and Zhang Su (Teacher Chan) are GREAT! The power and beauty of the dancers are inspiring! Well done and hats off to Li Cunxin for having the bravery to live his life on his own terms and doing what inspires him the most.
