Based on the real life story of Li Cunxin from his 2008 Australian Book of the Year Mao's Last Dancer. From the Shandong province of People's Republic of China to when he's selected to attend The Beijing Dance Academy and then one summer when he joins the Houston Ballet Company.
Directed by Bruce Beresford and also starring various Australian's Aden Young and Jack Thompson. Guest starring the fabulous Kyle MacLachlan.
