Review of Manufactured Landscapes (2006) by Patrick H — 23 Jul 2007
Burtynsky accepts his own role as a participant in the destruction of the environment. We are left to judge the disturbing images so beautifully presented. The film has the natural problem of being a "tag-a-long" type situation where a visual artist is basically filming another's images.
There is a lot of education in Burtynsky's dialogue and the technical info is understandable to a layman.
