Review of Mannequin (1987) by Constance L — 07 Sep 2008

I had forgotten that this movie even existed until last week. I had to evacuate my hometown because of Hurricane Gustav (which didn't even hit here). I drove up to Lakeview, Arkansas. While watching tv late at night, this movie was referenced on the Family Guy through one of Peter's flashbacks.

I almost had a heartattack from laughing at that scene. Anyhow, it's a week later and this putrid mess came on Encore last night so I watched it. Hell, I had nothing better to do. This movie is horrendous.

The only characters I liked were Meshach Taylor and the late Estelle Getty. Those two steal every scene they are in. Other than that, this movie is sooooo bad. If you're into romantic adventure-type flicks, you might like this.

I can't believe I wasted an hour and a half of my life watching it. The worst part??? There was a sequel made. Funk that!
