Review of Manic (2001) by Ahmad I — 09 Apr 2009
Was expecting a bit more, Don Cheadle was brilliant of course, that's pretty damn obvious but during most of the time I was kind of hoping fora bit more. The flick started to get a bit bland around the middle but than we have back 2 back eye openers with Cheadle's outburst during therapy than the confrontation between staff and patients.
When dealing with a story like this, I was hoping for a more darker showing, I mean you're dealing with kids in a mental hospital and the main character has anger problems, but besides those small tweeks I would have enjoyed more the flick is still good.
