Some might say that this is simply a teenage version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, BUT I see different. Manic presents the dynamics and struggles of a group of admitted teenagers to a mental ward while also showing the struggle of the counselor in his battle to help these teens.
Amazing performances and handheld camerawork that places you within the action. PLUS it was quite wonderful to see Joe Gordon-Levitt together with Zooey Deschanel one last time...
